Jean Dop

Jean Dop was a French rugby league footballer. He played club football for Marseille XIII and also represented France, touring Australia with the 1951 French national team at halfback. Playing in place of injured Jean Crespo, his dashing runs were seen as instrumental in France's win over Australia in the first Test.[1] Also during this tour in a match against South Auckland in New Zealand Dop was struck by a spectator.[2] He later toured with France playing at fullback.[3] In 1988 he was inducted into the International Rugby League Hall of Fame.
